Nether improvement?

    Hey, can we increase the spawn rate of nether creatures? Its honestly too easy in there right now.

    I've said this multiple times regarding this topic, but "increasing mob spawn rates" is not as simple as flicking a switch or changing a number or two. Other players have brought this up, and we're aware it's an issue, but there are a lot of features of plugins that can affect this. In an effort to immobilize lag in a PvP environment, all the optimizations we have done have affected the natural spawn rates. Max and I will have to go through everything we have changed, and do lots of testing to ensure the following:

    1.) Top priority is that the server remains stable with high tickrate
    2.) That fixing natural spawns will not overwhelm certain plugins
    3.) That spawnrates will not affect PvP & related aspects with basic gameplay (hit registration is the biggest one)
    4.) Chunk limited mobs*


    * = One of the many optimizations we have made is limited the amount of entities (mobs & other things) that can be inside 1 chunk at the same time. Currently the way this works is that 'active' chunks inside the world will be granted higher priority, thus allowing more entities to be in this chunk, while other 'empty' chunks are limited to a specific amount that is pretty small. This is why last season endermen grinders worked only if you were the only person in the end (or 1 of few people in the end).

    Needless to say, we are working on it, and will try to have a solid fix in place soon :)
